Doona attends Doheeya press screening |

Doona’s new movie, “Doheeya” (A girl at my door) had a screening at for the press at CGV Wangsimri, Seoul, Korea. Doona along with her fellow cast spoke to the press. 5/12/2014
If I may translate some excerpt of the Korean press' report on what she said:
"이날 배두나는 "원래 작품을 고를 때 굉장히 고민을 많이 하는 스타일"이라며 "그러나 '도희야'는 최단 기간 내에 선택한 작품"이라고 말했다". Doona said that " She usually takes her time choosing a film project, but Doheeya took her the least time."
배두나는 "내 캐릭터에 매료됐다기보다 시나리오를 쓴 감독님이 첫째로 궁금했다"고 밝혔다. 이어 "여백이 있고 상상력을 자극하는 글이 좋았다"고 덧붙였다. She said "It wasn't like I was fascinated with the character; it was more like I was curious about the director Jung mostly. I liked that the writing that had some (breathing) space and tickled my imagination"
배두나는 또 "영화를 결정할 당시 할리우드 영화 '주피터 어센딩'을 찍고 있었다"며 "당시 다른 나라의 문화에서 나도 모르게 외로웠던 것 같고 극의 외로움에 공감했던 것 같다"고 밝혔다.
She added that " when I was making my mind about Doheeya, I was in the middle of shooting 'Jupiter Ascending'. I must have been feeling lonely working in a foreign culture (environment?). I emphasized with my character's extreme loneliness." |
