(I did this for my Tumblr blog, but I thought I would post it here as well for our international Nadoo Nadoos. It's is more fun to share a good news, me thinks.)
Doona did an amazing (as usual) and slightly provocative (much sexier than her usual photo spreads imo) with lots of sexy lacy and see-through outfits for High Cut Korea which came out on 03/20/2014. The photo spread was accompanied with her interview for the upcoming movie, "Doheeya". The following is the rough translation of the newspaper article on the photo shoot and the interview.
배두나가 청순과 섹시를 오가는 봄날의 여신으로 변신했다.
Doona Bae transformed into a goddess of Spring, and turns innocent and then sexy.
배두나는 지난 20일 발간한 한 국내 잡지 화보를 통해 농염한 자태를 뽐냈다. 쏟아지는 봄 햇살을 받으며 배두나 특유의 몽환적인 눈빛과 몸짓이 더해져 신비로운 분위기의 화보가 완성됐다. 이번 화보에서 배두나는 레이스 블라우스, 망사 레깅스, 시폰 드레스 등 아찔한 시스루 의상을 입고 우아하면서도 섹시한 매력을 드러냈다.
Doona showed off her sexy side for a photo shoot with a magazine which hit the stands on the 20th. Doona added her dreamy eyes and gestures to this shooting lighted with the birght Spring light, and helped to create a mysterious atmosphere. She donned a lace blouse, lace leggings and a see-through chiffon dress to high-light her graceful and yet sexy side.
화보 촬영과 함께 가진 해당 잡지와의 인터뷰에서 배두나는 개봉 예정인 한국 영화 ‘도희야’와 할리우드 영화 ‘주피터 어센딩’의 출연 소감 등에 대해 밝혔다.
In the accompanying interview, Doona talked about her upcoming movies, "Doheeya" and "Jupiter Ascending"
먼저 정주리 감독의 장편 데뷔작인 ‘도희야’에 대해 이야기를 나눴다. ‘도희야’는 이창동 감독이 제작을 맡아 화제가 된 저예산 영화다.
She talked about “Doheeya” directed by Dir Joori Jeong. This low-budget indie movie got attention because Dir Chang Dong Lee produced it.
배두나는 “발이 땅에 닿아 있는 캐릭터를 하고 싶다는 열망이 컸다”며 “’클라우드 아틀라스’는 실험적인 작품이었고 ‘주피터 어센딩’은 정통 SF영화다. 이렇게만 찍다 보니까 정말 현실적인 역할을 하고 싶었다”고 ‘도희야’를 선택하게 된 배경을 말한 것으로 전해졌다.
Doona said that she had wanted to play is a character that is down-to-earth. She said of her decision to do “Doheeya”, “Cloud Atlas was an experimental movie. Jupiter Ascending is a traditional SF movie. After those movies, I really wanted to play a realistic character.”
이어 ‘도희야’에서 맡은 배역에 대해선 “경찰대를 졸업하고 엘리트 코스만 밟고 올라온 경찰 역을 맡았다. 서울에서 근무하다가 어떤 일 때문에 시골 파출소로 발령을 받아 1년 동안 지내야 하는 여자”라고 설명했다.
She continued about her role that “(her character) is an elite police academy graduate. She had been working in Seoul but gets transferred to a countryside police station for a year after she gets involved in a scandal.
배두나는 “이렇게 행복하게 찍은 영화가 근래에 별로 없었다”며 “정말 가족 같은 분위기였고 사랑하면서 찍고 사랑 받으면서 찍은 영화” 라고 표현했다. 또 함께 연기한 아역 배우 김새론에 대해선 “정말 연기 도사”라며 “애처럼 굴다가도 카메라만 돌면 확 몰입하는 스타일”이라고 전했다.
She said of the movie shooting that “It was one of happiest movie shootings in recent years. (Everyone involved) were like family; I gave love and got love in return” She said of Sae Ron Kim who co-starred with her that “She is a master of acting. She would act her age and then she would immerse herself in acting as soon as the camera started rolling.”
‘도희야’는 오는 5월 개봉 예정이다. 배두나는 ‘도희야’뿐만 아니라, 지난해 개봉한 할리우드 대작 ‘클라우드 아틀라스’에 이어 2명의 워쇼스키 감독이 연출한 신작 ‘주피터 어센딩’에도 출연해 2014년 스크린을 통해 활발한 활동을 보여줄 예정인 것으로 알려졌다.
Doheeya will open in May. She is also apprearing the Wachowski brothers’ “Jupiter Ascending” which will open in 2014. It looks like Doona is in for a very busy year. |
